End of Season
Published 01:00 on 24 Oct 2026
The end of the sailing season is fast approaching, the last sailing day will be Sunday 1st November with a For_the_hell_of_it race at 11.00hrs and the Last Race at 13.30hrs. Cruising is also possible until 15.30hrs.
There will be a couple of work days after the season ends the do the final tidying up of berths and the boat park as well as recovery of the racing marks and checking the shallows markers. Once the racing marks are recovered we can bring the safety boats ashore. The first day will be Saturday 7th November (or Saturday 15 th November if the weather is bad on the 7th). We also plan to have a working morning, if required, on Sunday 29th November followed by the AGM at 14.00hrs. Your support for these days would be greatly appreciated.
If you are planning to leave your boat in the boat park over the winter it important to come and check that is securely tied down and if necessary take down the mast. In past years a few boats have been blown over. Not only does this risk damage to your own boat, but could also damage someone else's boat.
