Blaze sprints update

Unfortunately due to high winds on the Saturday it was not possible to hold the sprints event. To set up the committee boat, start line and course posts for these short races, the winds have to be in our favour. It was agreed that the events will go ahead on a future Saturday when the conditions are more favourable and more competitors are available. Watch this space to find out when the event is to be held in the next few weeks.

Our next special event in our programme will be the Blaze Sprints on Saturday 5th September as part of our Hornsea Regatta weekend. This is also open to other classes of three boats or more. The event consists of 9 short races 12 to 15 minutes long around a set course and so the start of each race is crucial to get a good place. The first race is expected to be around 11am with 3 race s back to back before a break for some lunch then 6 races in the afternoon.
