Coronavirus (COVID-19)
We have found ourselves in unprecedented and trying times which no one has the experience to fully understand and know what actions should be taken. At this time, we can only listen to the evolving advice from those better qualified than us in the interests of keeping ourselves, families and friends as safe as possible. The COVID-19 virus is a huge unknown and we need to do all we can to slow the spread of this disease in the hopes it will reduce the strain on the NHS, reduce the occurrences of infection and save lives. We must all take care to use all the government advice to its fullest and take all the precautions available to us to ensure we reduce the risks of contracting and spreading the virus. With this in mind, the decision has been made to delay the start of the sailing season at Hornsea Mere until the end of April. On the lead up to that time, your committee will continuously listen to further advice from government sources and evaluate the possibility of starting the 2020 season. If the advice continues to revolve around self isolation, the club will remain closed. As soon as we have any further news regarding the opening of the club, we will post on our sailing club website and social media.

Please be safe and in good health.
